In 1773, three McAfee Brothers set out from Virginia heading west to explore the uncharted territory that would later be known as Kentucky. They surveyed the land that is now home to the world’s most awarded distillery – the Buffalo Trace Distillery. The surveyor’s marks that remain are known as benchmarks and this bourbon whiskey pays homage to the pioneering spirits of these early American explorers.
